Philippe Croizon Avant Accident Video- What Happened?

A serious electric shock accident in March 1994 caused the amputations of Phillipe's limbs.

Croizon sustained a serious electric shock while standing on a metal ladder on the roof of his home in Saint-Rémy-Sur-Creuse, Vienne, to work on a television antenna.

A high-voltage power line earthed (grounded) via the ladder, to which he became stuck. It took twenty minutes for a neighbor to raise the alarm.

Doctors removed his left arm above the elbow, right arm below the elbow, and right leg above the knee while he was in the hospital in Tours.

Surgeons had hoped to save Croizon's left leg, but when it was discovered that it, too, needed to be removed.

Corizon said he felt "despair" when his left leg has to be removed as well.
